ACTIVITY SHEET – CIVIC AND CITIZENSHIP TRAINING –

NON FORMAL EDUCATION AND ARTISTIC CONTENT

THEME: 7. DEVELOPING SOCIAL VALUES THROUGH WORKSHOP PLAN: 5-6. DIVERSITY, DIALOGUE, INCLUSION Objectives:

• Develop critical and creative thinking;

• Link social and civic competences to daily life and to other topics such as environment, human rights, discrimination and politics;

• Develop teachers competences on social media;

• Raise students awareness against the use of strong words or abuse;

• Raise students awareness of the “digital identity” and social literacy;

• Identify abuse.

Duration:

• 2 meetings X 60 min/one

Skills and knowledge acquired:

• Increasing self- and other-confidence;

• Reduce social inhibitions among group members

• Awareness on social and civic competences increased;

• Awareness on media and digital literacy increased;

• Creation of a common language

• Creative and critical thinking developed;

• Develop listening skills

• Express your opinions without offending others

• Listen to and accept the opinions of others

Materials needed:

• Colors, white papers of various sizes;

• A big room is required;

• Chairs;

• Photos cut from magazines

Suggested facilitation method: Meeting 1: Interculturality

1. IMAGE THEATER. Develop teamwork skills. Understand the importance of non-verbal communication (45 min)

2. COMPARISON: Comparison of experiences (15 min)

Meeting 2: Participation, diversity, tolerance

1. ALL THAT WE ARE: Discover the diversity of the group. Experiencing the feeling of belonging to the "group-in" or "group-out". To defend one's own opinion. Promote sensitivity, empathy and respect (45 min)

2. COMPARISON: Comparison of experiences (15 min)
